Josh Spencer, AKA Acemetrik, was born in Toms River, NJ and currently resides in Las Vegas Nevada. The journey began for him as a DJ through the limitless power of music on the dance floor. A power that knows no judgements and took ahold of him through both movement and musical creativity. Growing up in the entertainment capital of the world, Acemetrik is no stranger to the spotlight. With 7 years experience performing for cirque du Soleil, this charismatic creative is dedicated to his craft, constantly pushing boundaries and translating his skills from the stage to the booth exploring the unknown.

His obsession with music began at a young age, hip hop and juggling records later expanded to a mix of house and Techno after experiencing “the other side” of the electronic music scene in NYC. Immediately hooked to the chunky drums and groovy tribal rhythms, this sophisticated sound continues to influence his selection today. His versatility expands to various genres that satisfy his listeners with a tasteful selections of sounds. Each set is specifically curated for that moment with one purpose, to make you dance and have a good time! Since joining MNTRA in 2016 things have accelerated, and binding himself to likeminded and forward thinking entities has instilled deep focus and inspiration. Playing alongside the likes of John Aquaviva, Jewel Kid, Nior, Dj Pierre, Matthias Tanzman, Sante, Pirupa, Second City and Luigi Rocca to name a few, it is no surprise that his ethnic rhythms and deep chunky organic tech grooves have found a welcome home in the ever expanding techno landscape.
